Issue 52 March 2018

Purely by chance, this month’s art features a collection similarly titled to February’s. Last month saw Claire Riley’s Northern Light, using digital technologies to manipulate colours, and for March we have Chris Cyprus’s Northern Lights, which favours oils and will be displayed from 10 March to 1 April at Contemporary Six. This issue’s cover is suitably snowy and the rest of these pages give a taster of what else to expect at the exhibition (viewable in full by using the toggle button in the top left). You’ll also find our Q&A partway down the index to the right.

There are consultations afoot this month to display to current strategic regeneration framework for Mayfield Manchester, so make sure you head along to voice your thoughts and ideas for possible improvements.

The music section features local bands old and new, in the form of a Mark E Smith obituary and an interview with Honeyfeet, respectively.

Sadia Habib spoke to Front Room Productions about their bedroom-based theatre in Stage, while words are penned on the exploits of last month’s interviewees behind Trump: The Musical.

Ged Camera puts pen to paper in review of two more movies in Filmreel and Anna Tuck headed to Nightmares On Wax’s sold out show at Gorilla.
